Head of Engineering Digital Logistics Platform (f/m/d)

Austrian Post is looking for a dedicated leader for the position of Head of Engineering Digital Logistics Platform within Group IT. In this key role, you report directly to the Head of the Digital Logistics Platform and are responsible for managing 16 agile development teams with a total of around 100 employees.

What this job is about

• Leading approximately 100 developers across 16 agile teams and establishing high‑performance structures with clear KPIs
• Actively shaping the organization, leadership team, and engineering culture while fostering an open, performance‑driven collaboration environment
• Ensuring adherence to technological standards, architectural guidelines, and security requirements
• Together with your leadership team, you actively manage the roadmap and the capacity of your teams
• Ensuring timely, transparent, and high‑quality software delivery across all teams
• Identifying risks early, removing obstacles, and continuously optimizing delivery and development processes

What we are looking for

• University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of leadership experience managing large agile development teams
• Proven expertise in modern software architecture and development, especially cloud and event streaming
• Experience in delivery management of complex IT projects
• Excellent knowledge of agile and scaled agile methods and organizational models
• Strong communication and team skills, assertiveness
• Very good command of English (spoken and written)
